Since its creation in 2003, ICE has targeted, racially profiled, separated, and disappeared hundreds of thousands of people with little to no accountability for their practices. As Christians called to love our neighbor and welcome the stranger, we must be deeply alarmed by systems set up to harm and oppress.

ICE’s presence in our communities does not make us safer; it tears at the very fabric of Jesus' call for justice and mercy.

Congress created ICE, and we must remind them that they share in accountability for the terror this agency has unleashed. They must stop enabling violence with taxpayer dollars.** Abolishing ICE is not just policy; it is a moral imperative.**
