Tell Target Corp: Christians want ICE out of Minnesota

Today, we must join together and recommit to the power we have when people of faith align themselves with each other and not empire.
Petition Text:
To: Brian Cornell, CEO of Target Corp and Michael Fiddelke, incoming CEO of Target Corp
As social justice Christians committed to walking the way of Jesus, we are horrified by the violent and inhumane actions of ICE agents taking place in Minnesota, your company's headquarters.
On January 8th Customs and Border Protection assaulted and seized two US citizens while they were working a shift at the Richmond, MN Target store. Target is Minnesota's leading corporate citizen. Where Target leads, others follow.
We stand in solidarity with the people of Minnesota and call for an end to ICE terrorization. We need Target to stand with Minnesotans alongside us.
We, the undersigned, pledge to refrain from spending at any Target store until you adhere to the demands of your community and:
1. Publicly call for an immediate end to the ICE “surge” into MN and for ICE to leave the state
The officer who killed Renee Good must be held legally accountable. Demand a legitimate investigation with state involvement.
2. Exercise your 4th Amendment rights and publicly post signage denying entrance to on-duty immigration agents who do not have signed judicial warrants as required by law, as well train staff on how to respond when immigration agents arrive at stores.
3. Publicly call for Congress to freeze funding for ICE.
4. Restore your commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and honor their commitments to the Black community.
The Target corporation is made up of people who go to work every day hoping to make the world a better place. You have a unique opportunity to stand up for our nation, democracy, and humanity. We pray you will use that privilege and power to stand up to injustice as Jesus did before you.
Thank you.
