Christians Reject Trump's Christian Nationalist Rededicate 250

It's a front for white Christian Nationalism.
Freedom 250 -- President Trump's nonprofit created to mark America's 250th anniversary -- is staging an all-day event on the National Mall on May 17, with the stated goal of rededicating the country as One Nation to God.
They're billing it "Rededicate 250" -- "a national jubilee of prayer, praise and thanksgiving." The Trump White House is calling it a "large-scale revival" on its own website.
The Freedom From Religion Foundation calls it: an "unprecedented and shocking mix of church and state."
Speakers include false prophets such as Franklin Graham, Eric Metaxas, Paula White-Cain, Lou Engle, and Apostle Guillermo Maldonado -- alongside cabinet members Marco Rubio and Pete Hegseth and House Speaker Mike Johnson. The Heritage Foundation is a co-promoter. Yes, that Heritage Foundation.
Stand with us to declare: NOT IN OUR NAME.
Sean Feucht -- an official event partner -- is hosting his own worship gathering on the same Mall the night before. He has declared, "I want a country where Christians are making the laws. There is no law outside the Biblical moral law."
Paula White-Cain -- Trump's personal pastor and his White House Faith Office advisor -- has said that "saying no to Trump would be saying no to God."
That is not the God we know.
Jesus never staged mass revivals. He loved the poor and healed the sick.
Jesus never heralded public prayer spectacles. In the Garden of Gethsemane, he went alone to a quiet place to pray before God.
His way was humble, compassionate, and loving. But he was also righteously angry when faced with the exploitation of God's people and the dishonoring of God's name.
We, too, are righteously angry. We resist, because Jesus would.
Stand with us to renounce white Christian Nationalism and reject Rededicate 250.
Petition Text:
To: The organizers of Rededicate 250
We declare that as Christians, we reject Christian Nationalists' Rededicate 250.
We name Rededicate 250 for what it is: the Trump regime's attempt to rewrite a nationalistic pseudohistory and homogenize the country's religious identity for its own purposes.
To spread a white Christian Nationalist agenda that props up Trump's own image under the guise of celebrating the nation's 250th anniversary. To propagandize a very specific, exclusive, and self-serving version of Christianity.
You claim it will be a national jubilee.
We confess, we cannot rejoice when you are stealing food from the mouths of babes.
We cannot celebrate while you defund the essential aid programs that sustain people.
We cannot condone your continued perversion of the name of God to further Christian Nationalist ideology.
We profess our faith differently. The God we know loves, serves, and teaches compassion, humility, and sacrifice.
He feeds the hungry, clothes the poor, heals the sick, frees the oppressed, and loves all sinners.
So let us make clear: We Christians reject Rededicate 250.
Thank you.
